Gua Sha Crystal

Gua Sha Crystal is a tool in Chinese medicine and is used to massage the face and rub against the skin to increase blood circulation and release tension in the facial muscles and jaw area. This ultimately results in activation of the lymphatic system's cleansing of toxins and reduction of redness and swelling.

By just doing a Gua Sha facial massage for 1 minute a day, you can increase your skin's elasticity and glow and even minimize fine lines and wrinkles.

At Goddess Temple you can have gua sha in rose quartz, Indian jade and amethyst. They are either shaped like a heart or a butterfly. It is used by gently pressing and massaging against the facial skin, preferably on cleansed skin and in combination with a good facial oil.

HOW TO USE GUA SHA?

• Always use on clean skin and in combination with a good oil, cream or serum
• Massage the face and neck in upward motions with the curved sides of the stone. Slide the stone up and over the cheekbones, forehead, eyebrows and neck
• Try placing the stone in the refrigerator for a cool massage experience and to help reduce swelling

It is a naturally cold stone and carries a yang energy, which means it is good at creating heat and moving energy away and out of the body. It is good for lifting, firming, draining toxins and giving clean skin. Indian Jade Gua Sha can be used both morning and evening and is the perfect crystal to start with if you do not yet have a gua sha.

ROSE QUARTZ:

Rose quartz is a true love stone, which in a gua sha form is used to give a lot of love and positive compliments to the face. It maintains a high energy frequency that is soothing to the skin and good for sensitive skin such as rosacea and acne. It is good for the heart, blood circulation and the immune and lymphatic system. When used on the face, it drains the lymphatic system of toxins, releasing stress and worry that have settled like fine lines, and then rose quartz lifts and tightens the face for a crystal-charged, sparkling glow. Rose quartz is best used in the morning rather than the evening as it increases blood circulation out of the heart. It has a cooling effect on the skin and is good for releasing muscle tension in the jaw and temples. Using it as a gua sha reduces inflammation and regenerates the skin.
